Lewis-Webb House

About 1853 John Lewis built the main section of this house in a local Greek Revival style.  Ornate trim dates from 1882.  William Larkin Webb, historian, and Mabelle Brown Webb, leader in securing the Hawthorne as Missouri's State Flower, lived here.

The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its architecture and its association with the Lewis's and the Webb's.
