This church was commissioned in 1872 by the 6th Earl Fitzwilliam in memory of his parents. There is an older church ( The Old Holy Trinity Church) just across from this one. This old church is from the 13th century, some now in ruins but the newer sections remaining and in use up until 1877 when the new church was opened.
The font is octagonal in shape and carved out of marble, it is situated at the rear of the church near the door.
