This Oklahoma Centennial Clock is located in a small park with a pavilion, benches, and grassy area right on Rt. 66.
The clock itself appears that it may have had plaques on the sides of the base at one time, because all four sides are extremely weather worn already and look like something may have been attached at one point.
This is a really small but nicely landscaped little park, a great place to stop and eat your lunch.
This is one of over 100 clocks placed around the state to commemorate Oklahoma's 100th anniversary. These modern clocks are replicas of the town clocks placed in Oklahoma cities in the early days of statehood. Some of the clocks are painted a color to match the business/college, and they are displayed in a variety of locations (colleges/hospitals/high schools/city streets).
