Mesquite, once a sleepy little town with only one casino and a truck stop on US Highway 91 between St. George, Utah and Las Vegas, Nevada, is now a town booming with retirees and tourists coming to visit the three large hotel/casino/resorts and the many nice golf courses in town. Travel is now much easier with the completion of Interstate 15 through the Virgin River Gorge some 40 years ago.
