The memorial is a rough hewn stone celtic cross. The cross rests on a rough hewn stone plinth. Flat smooth areas have been formed on front and back faces of the shaft which contain the inscriptions. Similarly the plinth has two flat surfaces containing the names of the fallen.

The WW1 inscription reads

HONOURED MEMORY

OF

THE MEN OF

HUNSDON

WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES

IN THE

GREAT WAR

1914-1918.

The WW2 inscription reads

IN

HONOURED MEMORY

OF

THE MEN OF

HUNSDON

WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES

IN THE

GREAT WAR

1939-1945.

The memorial was unveiled on 21st November 1921. The stone mason was Mr C Smith.
