St James's Square, in Barcelona (in Catalan: Plaça de Sant Jaume, in Spanish: Plaza San Jaime) is a leading and representative of the Barcelona. Located in the center of it, where was the center of the ancient Barcino, it is the Palacio de la Generalitat and the headquarters of the Catalan city of Barcelona or Casa de la Ciudad. This square has a great historical value but it is relatively recent since its origin is of the early nineteenth century. It is well known and many tourists visit it.
