The Siouxland Habitat Restore has some great new and used items for remodeling the home, offered at discount prices. Contractors, demolition crews, and home improvement stores donate a variety of building materials, furniture, appliances and lots of other useful stuff including the kitchen sink for resale. The proceeds go toward the Habitat for Humanity construction funds to help build homes for people in need. Some of the money from sales will help people affected by the recent floods and tornados that have hit western Iowa.
I found a beautiful brand new 5 x 8 rug that is perfect for our retirement home.
