Gilgal Garden is an eclectic combination of a Botanical Garden and a Sculpture Garden. The Sculpture Garden has many abstract and locally historical sculptures and interesting combinations of sculptures grouped together. Interspersed with the many sculptures are scriptural passages and other citations etched in rocks, both upright and as pavers.
Tradition tells of a story where the first Mormon settlement in Utah was saved from famine by California Seagulls eating hordes of Mormon Crickets that had been destroying their first wheat crop; hence the name of the insect.
