Fidelis Bentele (1905-1987) war ein gefragter Bildhauer aus Oberstaufen, der vor allem mit seinen Bildnisplastiken, unter anderem von Yehudi Menuhin, Albert Schweitzer, Kardinal Graf von Galen und Papst Pius XII international bekannt wurde. Viele der Skulpturen in Oberstaufen hat er zusammen mit seinem adoptierten Sohn Georg Bentele-Ücker entworfen. Diese Skulptur steht an der Fidelis-Bentele-Straße die nach ihm benannt wurde.

Fidelis Bentele (1905-1987) was a popular sculptor in Oberstaufen, which became famous with his portrait sculptures, including works by Yehudi Menuhin, Albert Schweitzer, Cardinal Graf von Galen and Pope Pius XII announced internationally. Many of the sculptures in Oberstaufen he designed with his adopted son Georg Uecker-Bentele. This sculpture is placed at the Fidelis-Bentele-street which is named after him.
