Inside the visitor center/museum are two stamps, one for here featuring the monument the park is named after and another for the South Mountain site, the location of the park. The second didn't work so well.

The stamp is HUGE, comparatively speaking and offers an imprint of the Washington Monument found here, about a quarter mile away down the Appalachian Trail. I had ot make an inquiry for it as I did not see it (It was in the office, inaccessible). They give you paper, ink it up for you and let you stamp it yourself if you want. There is also another stamp for the South Mountain site but that worked horribly, so I am not going to include it as another waymark. The register book is in front of the office, publicly accessible. Nothing fancy, just a large binder with a lot of paper signed by previous visitors.
The monument museum features historical artifacts related to the history of Washington Monument and the Battle of South Mountain. It is open on weekends only in April and October, and seven days a week from May through September. It is closed during the winter. They were very friendly and allowed picture taking as well as walked around with me and gave me a tour, explaining what i was seeing. Parking is 25 feet away in the lot.
