From one angle this sculpture looks like a one piece cube...and then from another angle, it is segmented into three pieces with two of the segments being rather jagged. The work is entitled "Code of Life or Three Piece Cube" and is by artist David Bakalar.
The dedication on the pedestal reads:
"Dedicated to
Charles H. Dyson, Class of 1930
in honor of his 87th birthday
and in recognition of
his devoted service and
generosity to his alma mater.
Donated August 1996
by Henry C. Beinstein
Class of 1964"
