This Daughters of Utah Pioneers marker is set in a rock base that is shaped like the State of Utah. The marker reads:

No. 45
Erected June 1939
RICHFIELD PIONEERS
The first ten pioneers who arrived here January 6, 1864, were Capt. Albert Lewis, Robert W. Glenn, Christian O. Hansen, Hans O. Hansen, Nelson Higgins, August Nelson, George Oglevie, Eskild C. Peterson, Andrew Poulson, and Jorgen Smith. Followed by their families and others March 14, 1864. This monument erected on site of an ancient Indian mound, later discovered to contain ruins of adobe walls, relics of pottery, Indian corn, wheat, arrows and human bones.
CAMP COVE DUP

On the reverse side of the base, there is an additional plaque that reads:

Richfield Pioneers
The original Richfield Pioneers marker was located in the center of this park. Deterioration of the origial marker led to it being torn down in November 2003.
This replacement monument was erected in this new location in August of 2005. Rocks from the original marker form the core and first row of the new marker, along with rocks from Venice Knoll. Corrections to the names of the pioneers on the original plaque are:
Augustinus Nelson
George Ogilvie
Dedicated August 29, 2005
Richfield, Sevier Center Company, Utah

There is an interesting mosaic beehive formed into the rocks, however, the mosaic waymark group was not impressed.
