Kandal and Kampong Chhnang are two central Cambodian provinces, to the north of Phnom Penh. The economy and societies of both revolve around the production of rice and other agricultural products, a statement true for every Cambodian province, with the exception of Phnom Penh itself and tourist oriented Siem Reip (Angkor Wat).
This border crossing lies on the northern side of the small town of Udong (Oudong), which in turn is close to Phnom Odong, an important Buddhist and Cambodian national site. The border crosses a small river and bridge. The sign is on the Kandal province side of the border. The road is the busy National Highway 5, that carries people and goods between Phnom Penh and Kampon Chhnang, and places north.
There are no restrictions on crossing, and no welcome facilities.
Type Of Crossing: Province
