I was lucky to find this small marker on the front lawn outside the Sigma Alpha Epislon house on the campus of the University of Denver. It is unclear if the fraternity members served or were killed; but I assume they perished.
The plaque reads:
Sigma Alpha Epsilon [in Greek letters]
World War II
1941- 1945
We Remain Brothers Ever
Baxter L. Ireland, Joseph R. Johnson, Elmer M. Munn, Jr., Dorman H. Herndon, Robert A. Newell, Edward M. Fussell
The plaque is technically on private property (campus of the University of Denver), but it is available dawn to dusk in front of the fraternity house.
