The City of Westfield's Bicentennial Committee erected this 4 ft. x 3 ft. x 6 in. at Holland Avenue and Court Street in downtown Westfield in 1976. It is an historic marker that honors the local Revolutionary War hero Lieutenant Richard Falley and his role in supplying arms the Continental Army. A precisely incised image of a musket decorates the plaque. The plaque is inscribed:
