This Butterfly Garden is located in Manito Park, and is connected to the Perennial Garden. The Butterfly Garden itself, is about a 50 foot half circle radius. But it is directly connected to the Joel E. Ferris Perennial Garden, which is about 300 x 200 feet, and which contains more than 300 plant species.
The Butterfly Garden features a round island with a path, a birdbath and plants, with more plants along the outside edge of the garden. There is also a bench along the edge, in between the plants. Each plant has a little marker, as does the Perennial Garden.
The sign for the Butterfly Garden says that it is sponsored by Washington State Department of Wildlife.
The park is open all year long, and is free. The hours are 10am-11pm in the summer, and 11am-10pm in the winter.
