The marina offers a 5-lane boat launch ramp, a safe harbor for City boats, a large grassy amphitheater for picnics, and pedestrian sidewalks for walking or biking. Picnic tables, soda machines, public restrooms and dringing fountains are available to the public.

The marina is a gathering place for the boating community. A diverse group of boating groups such as the City of Tempe Parks & Recreaton Rowing, Arizona Yacht Club, Arizona Sailing Foundation, ASU Sailing Group, ASU Rowing Group, Arizona Dragon Boat Association, and several outrigger canoe clubs have made the marina their base.
