Paint Lake is at the end of Hwy 375 off Hwy 6, 32 km south of Thompson, Manitoba. The campground office is just off Hwy 375, 6 km east of Hwy 6. You can also pick up a passport at the campground office, if you need one.

The park is centered around Paint Lake and many of the recreation activities focus on the lake; boating, canoeing, fishing and swimming.
The Paint Lake Resort (204-677-9303) is open year round.

2011 is the third year in a row that Park vehicle permits are not required in Manitoba's Provincial Parks.

If the campground office is closed, you can send a photo of yourself in front of a sign or distinctive landmark along with your passport to: Head of Interpretation, Parks and Natural Areas, 200 Saulteaux Crescent, Winnipeg MB R3J 3W3. They will stamp your passport.
