This elevation mark is located along Ore. Hwy. 229 about 0.6 miles east of the crossing of Cedar Creek. The cap is located about 3 feet south of the north highway right of way fence and is set in a square concrete post at ground level. Cap location is marked by a wooden post, metal USBM post & sign, and a carsonite marker. The cap was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey and State Survey in 1934 and was marked S228 with an elevation of 46 feet.
