The dogs appearing to be greyhounds are sitting on each side of the entry stairs of the Pythian Castle. The Pythian Castle was built in 1913 as the Pythian Home of Missouri, an orphanage and widows home operated by the fraternal organization, Knights of Pythias. During World War II the building served as an enlisted club and an internment facility for German and Italian POWs. The building now is an event facility. It is unknown when the greyhounds were placed in front of the building.
Breed: Greyhounds
Date Built: 1913
