Aberdeen Airport, opened in 1934, is located about 6 miles north-west of Aberdeen City Centre and in 2010 2.76 million people used Aberdeen Airport.

The airport is owned and operated by BAA Ltd. and it is the base of BMI Regional and Eastern Airways.
