Lewandos - Needham, MA - Googie Architecture on Waymarking.com

In Needham, near the town's town hall, is a sign and building for Lewandos, a dry cleaning and laundry facility that has been a long fixture in the town.

In fact, according to the Patch.com site, the company has been in Needham since 1923. However, the building and sign appear to be more recent, though I don't see a cornerstone. The building is squarish and of a simple design, with pane glass windows on a good portion of the front and side of the building. The sign has two posts that are tied together at the top. The two-sided street sign is in the shape of a parallelagram, painted red, with "Lewandos" on it, with two canoe shaped signs below, painted yellow and blue-grey, with "Cleaning" and "Laundry" in them. On top is a star-burst.
