The Enchanted Highway was the brainchild of teacher and school principal Gary Greff from the small town that is 32 miles south of I-94. In an effort to attract people and businesses to Regent, North Dakota, Greff started by building The Tin Family in 1991. The Enchanted Highway now features seven large metal sculptures including this one that was accepted by the Guinness World Book in 2002 as the World’s Largest Scrap Metal Sculpture.
Geese in Flight stands 100 feet high and 154 feet wide. It was constructed from 1998 to 2002 and there are over 4 miles of welds in this 78.8 ton sculpture.
