This bronze sign is attached to a cement marker near the parking lot at Diamond Lake. Its text reads:

“Diamond Lake. The Diamond Lake Enhancement Project is a cooperative effort among Ducks Unlimited, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the concerned citizens of Iowa. This project will restore ecological health to Diamond Lake by improving water quality, by providing critical habitat for resident fish and wildlife species and becoming part of a “stepping stone” series of high quality shallow lakes across Iowa that will benefit waterfowl and other migratory birds. Diamond Lake represents DU’s inaugural Living Lakes initiative project in Iowa and is an important DNR lake restoration project.

Ducks Unlimited and its partners are appreciative of the following Major Sponsors for their generous contributions to help fill the skies with waterfowl today, tomorrow and forever.”

Below the text is a list of 15 contributors and the date July 11, 2009.
