Ferron Pioneers
The first permanent settlers of Ferron
arrived Dec. 6,1877. They were Swen Larsen
and son Niels Christian Larsen, Nicholas
Larsen and wife Helena, Peter F. Peterson
and wife, Caroline. The first woman with a
family of children, Ann Singleton Wrigley,
wife of Joseph Wrigley, came in the fall
of 1878. Ferron was named in honor of
A.D. Ferron, pioneer surveyor of Cache
Valley.
