Small water tower in Moledo, Lourinhã in Portugal.
This water tower has an hexagonal plant with arches and was built in 1954 by command of Captain Simões Belo. It as a reservoir on top and seem´s to be a well bellow.
We dont know exactly how it was used but our guess is that it was probably used together woth the nearby Lavoir (http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WMDM0B_Lavadouro_de_Moledo_Lourinh_Portugal) built at the same time.
Drinkable water could be obtained from a nearby well with a pump (See WM (
visit link) but, this could also be used as another source in more recent years since the well and pump seem´s older.
The tower is located in the north end of the village.
