The Russian emigrants settled in to "Russian Town" a small section of Erie PA back in the early 1870s and built an "Old Rites" church around 1916.
The view from across the street from the church is very nice indeed as you overlook the Port of Erie and the Erie Maritime Museum along with in a distance Dobins Landing.
The church has a couple of great pieces of artwork on the outside (check my photos). The church also sits on a dead end street so very large vehicles may have a bit of trouble getting turned around.
**Some of my information comes from the attached web page and the history plaque I will be posting a picture of.
