San Andrés is renowned for their Easter reenactments. Christ arrives via a palm strewn street to the church court yard where the story is unveiled complete with roman soldiers in full costume. It is quite a production that ends with Jesus carrying his cross up the mountain side to a site where a reenactment of his Crucifixion takes place. In nights to follow his resurrection is also plated out in the court yard in front of the church.
