This historical marker is part of a series of historical markers located all around Klamath County and commissioned by the Klamath County Historical Society.

Directions to historical marker: If you're traveling on Hwy 66 towards Keno, OR, the marker is in the parking lot of the Keno Store on the right, just after you cross the Keno Bridge over Klamath River.

The marker text reads:

WHITTLE'S FERRY SITE

BELOW PRESENT BRIDGE

ONE MILE BELOW BRIDGE

Klamath County Historical Society - 1974

This historical marker's significance is also referenced in a 'Beaver Board' located at the Topsy Recreational Area not far from here. I will post a link to the Beaver Board here, as soon as I get approval for that historical marker.
