The marker reads as follows

Overfelt-Johnston House
Built about 1850 by John A. Overfelt,
a flour miller, in the then current
Gothic style. Acquired in 1867 by
Courtney Campbell, it is now the home
of his granddaughter, Miss Harriett
Campbell Johnston. Listed on the
National Register of Historic Places.
