Die Spuren der ersten kirchlichen Bauten reichen in Karrösten bis ins Hochmittelalter zurück. Die St. Nikolauskirche bzw. Magdalenenkirche wurde 1778 geweiht. Der gotische Turm erhielt eine barocke Haube. Der Hochaltar zeigt sich im reifen Rokoko. Hervorzuheben sind die schön geschnitzten Rokokobetstühle und die reiche Rokokokanzel. " - Quelle: (
