"Die Pfarre Barwies besteht als selbständige Pfarrei seit 1967. Die ehemalige Filialkirche wurde 1620 in barockem Stil erbaut und durch die Pfarrerhebung 1967 zur Pfarrkirche erhoben.
Aus dieser Zeit stammt auch der örtliche Waldfriedhof (ca. 10 Minuten nördlich der Pfarrkirche).
Die Pfarrkirche ist der Heiligsten Dreifaltigkeit geweiht.
