"Pfarrkirche Arzl im Pitztal geweiht den Bischöfen Ingenuin und Albuin.
Lage der Kirche: Auf einer Anhöhe am westlichen Ortsrand
Zwischen 1336 und 1350 ist die erste Kirche im romanischen Stil erbaut worden. Es wird berichtet, dass von einer angeblichen Burgruine auf dem Burgstall die Steine zum Neubau der Kirche von Arzl verwendet wurden. Gottesdienste wurden von Imst aus durch so genannte Gaypriester geleitet. Kirchlich gehörte Arzl, wie das gesamte Pitztal (Ausnahme Wenns) zur Urpfarre Imst.
1358 wird die Weihe des Altares, Chores und des Friedhofs urkundlich durch Weihbischof Pukardus von Brixen bestätigt.
Eine weitere Urkunde von 1440 berichtet über einen Ablass zur Erbauung einer neuen Kirche. 1534 erhielt Arzl einen eigenen Kaplan. 1670 wurde im Friedhof die zweigeschossige Totenkapelle errichtet. 1750 bis 1758 wird die ursprünglich spätgotische Pfarrkirche zu St. Albuin und St. Ingenuin barockisiert, die Weihe erfolgte 1761. 1790 lässt Kurat Schuler den überdachten Gang vom Widum zur Kirche erbauen. 1836 wird am Turm die gotische Spitze entfernt und durch die zwiebelförmige Kuppel ersetzt. Bei einer Restaurierung im Jahr 1875 wurden leider barocke Kunstwerke entfernt. Nikolaus Krabacher aus Häselgehr schnitzt neue Altarfiguren, Alois und Josef Auer aus Arzl bauen die Altäre.
1891 wird Arzl eine eigene Pfarrei, erster Pfarrer ist Alois Rimml. Bald darauf wird ein Bronzegeläut angeschafft. 1908 malt Emanuel Raffeiner die Gewölbebilder und ein Hochaltarblatt, Turm und Kirche werden neu eingedeckt. 1955 erhält die Kirche ein elektrisches Geläute. Bis August 1964 gehörte das Gebiet der heutigen Diözese Innsbruck zusammen mit Vorarlberg zum Bistum Brixen /Südtirol. Die damals von Emmanuel Raffeiner gemalten Fresken werden im Zuge einer Innenrenovierung im Jahre 1973 restauriert." - Quelle: (
