"Kirchengeschichte:

Ursprünglich gehörte Pradl zur Mutterpfarre Ampass, erhielt im Jahre 1703 einen eigenen Seelsorger und 1891 eine eigene Pfarre. Im Jahre 1960 wurde eine zweite Pfarre in Pradl aufgrund der großen Bevölkerungszahl eingerichtet.

Kirche zu Unserer lieben Frau Mariä Empfängnis

1677 wurde eine kleine Mariahilfkapelle in Pradl errichtet. Der folgte im Jahre 1722 ein Kirchbau auf dem Areal der heutigen Leitgeb-Sporthalle. 1905-1908 musste wiederum aufgrund stark gestiegener Bevölkerungszahlen ein neues Gotteshaus errichtet werden, welches weiter südlich lag. Der neue Bau wurde in neuromanischen Stil gestaltet und die bisherige Kirche 1941 abgerissen. Die Innenausstattung wurde zu einem großen Teil vom Tiroler Bildhauer Hans Buchgschwendtner in den 50er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts gestaltet." - Quelle: (visit link)
