EN: Helvetia is the female national personification of Switzerland, officially Confœderatio Helvetica, the "Helvetic Confederation".
This statue has exactly the look of the Helvetia on the Swiss coins - except for the suitcase. The tired Helvetia looking at the Rhine by artist Bettina Eichin was erected in 1980 at the Northern end of the central bridge. It has become the most popular representation of Helvetia since then, also the Wikipedia article about Helvetia has a picture of this statue. In Summer 2010 there was even an official 30 years anniversary party which is quite uncommon for statues.

Diese Statue ist ein exaktes Abbild der Helvetia auf den Schweizer Münzen - abgesehen vom Koffer natürlich. Der müde Helvetia mit Blick auf den Rhein von der Künstlerin Bettina Eichin wurde 1980 auf der Nordseite der Mittleren Rheinbrücke errichtet. Es ist seither die beliebteste Darstellung der Helvetia geworden, auch die Wikipedia-Artikel über Helvetia ein Bild von dieser Statue hat. Im Sommer 2010 gab es sogar eine offizielle Jubiläumsfeier für 30 Jahre, was recht ungewöhnlich ist für Statuen.
