Ten years after turning down her college sweetheart's marriage proposal and breaking his heart, Kit Foley shows up at his office to ask for help. Rafe Blackstock was a pilot in the Air Force, but night blindness forced him to choose a different career. After moving back to Oklahoma City three years earlier, he opened business as a Private Investigator, which is how Kit ended up in his office. Kit's sister Liz and her husband Tony are missing, and it looks like the Mob is after them. Rafe and Kit race to find and help Liz and Tony before the Mob gets to either of the duos.
Several locations in Oklahoma City and Tulsa are mentioned in this novel. Western/150th St. is the location of Kit's sister's accident, which really was no accident but rather an attempt on her life.
This intersection has a Walgreens at the northeast corner, and a strip mall and bank at the southeast corner. Undeveloped land is at the northwest and southwest corners.
Debra Cowan did a wonderful job with this novel: a mixture of romance and adventure, keeping you turning the pages and impatient to find out what will happen next.
