EN: "Haus Schöneck" is a residential building in the quarter St. Alban in Basel. It was created by Melchior Berri (1801-1854) for the private use of the city mayor Felix Sarasin-Burckhardt from 1840 to 1844.

It is a white three-storey building with unobtrusive decorations. The centerpiece of the house is a octagonal prestiguous hall in the first floor that is richly furnished with luxurious panelings, sculptures, murals and glass paintings. This room was also created by Melchior Berri.

DE: "Haus Schöneck" ist ein Wohnhaus im Stadtteil St. Alban in Basel. Es wurde von Melchior Berri (1801-1854) als Privathaus des Bürgermeister Felix Sarasin-Burckhardt von 1840 bis 1844 erstellt.

Es ist ein weißes, dreistöckiges Gebäude mit dezenter Dekoration. Das Herzstück des Hauses ist ein achteckiger repräsentativer Saal im ersten Stock, der reich mit luxuriösen Wandverkleidungen, Skulpturen, Wand- und Glasmalereien ausgestattet ist. Dieser Raum wurde auch von Melchior Berri gestaltet.
