(Julie Prindle Wangberg in Memories of Valley Brook School)
"I remember that my first, second, and third grade teacher was Miss Mildred Ihde. My fourth, fifth, and sixth grade teacher was Miss Agness Steeps and my seventh and eighth grade teacher was Miss Marie Gillig. I have fond memories of all of them. When I think of them now I marvel at how they taught all eight grades and continued to keep an orderly classroom." And "If it was real cold, we would have classes in the basement, near the furnace."
After the school was closed it was sold and converted into a home.
