In Swansea, along Mass. Route 136, and south of the intersection with US 6, is the Eskimo King ice cream store, which has a fiberglass figure on a pole with an ice cream cone.
The store is located on the west side of the road, a couple hundred feet south of the intersection of US Route 6, and several hundred feet north of the border with Rhode Island. There is parking all around. The figure itself is right at the side of the road, set on a metal pole. The figure looks neither like an eskimo nor a king - but rather an 'average' looking guy in a jumper and close cut hair on an oversized head. In his left hand is a giant ice cream cone with a scoop of ice cream set on it.
Eskimo King has been around since 1957 in Swansea - their only store. They serve hard and sofe ice cream, as well as frozen yogurt. They claim to have over 300 flavors of soft serve ice cream, and over 24 flavors of hard ice cream (Gifford's Ice Cream from Maine).
