EN: The train station Dornach-Arlesheim lies just on the border between the the merged towns. The station building still stands just tight on Dornach soil. It was opened in 1875 as part of the "Jurabahn" from Basel to Delémont. 1902 the narrow gauge line Basel-Dornach by Birseckbahn was added which was converted in 1974 to the tram line 10 of the BLT.
The station building was enlarged in 1922, 1944 a signal box building was added. Right next to the train station is the new bus terminal, which is operated by the BLT lines 62, 64, 65, 66, and the PTT line 67.
DE: Der Bahnhof Dornach-Arlesheim liegt genau an der Grenze der beiden zusammengewachsenen Gemeinden. Das Bahnhofsgebäude steht noch knapp auf Dornacher Boden. Er wurde 1875 als Teil der "Jurabahn" von Basel nach Delémont eröffnet. 1902 kam die Schmalspurstrecke Basel-Dornach der Birseckbahn dazu, die 1974 in die Tramlinie 10 der BLT umgewandelt wurde.
Das Bahnhofsgebäude wurde 1922 vergrössert, 1944 eine Stellwerkkabine angebaut. Direkt neben dem Bahnhof liegt das neue Busterminal, das von den BLT-Linien 62, 64, 65, 66 und der PTT-Linie 67 bedient wird.
