This location is only accessible after the corn crop has been harvested and before the next crop is planted. It is about 150 yards east of Maple Avenue (a dirt agricultural access road). DO NOT enter the field while a crop is growing!!
You must approach this location on roads from the west. Major irrigation canals run north and south east of this junction and completely block any access (unless you want to swim).
Start from the junction of 240th Street and Locust Avenue (accessible from State Highway 175 to the north or County Highway K45 to the west). Proceed east past the antennas to Maple Avenue and then south to 42.000N. Proceed on foot about 150 yards east into the field.
These agricultural access roads are fairly well maintained since farmers need to use them to get their heavy equipment into the fields, but they are marked by signs that indicate that you use them at your own risk.
