EN: The Renaissance church Madonna del Ponte or Chiesa della Santa Maria in Selva is located south of the center of Brissago and is considered one of the most important works of Lombard architecture in Switzerland. Characteristic are the octagonal dome with a colonnade and the freestanding bell tower. The church was built in 1520-1545 by Giovanni Beretta.
DE: Die Renaissancekirche Madonna del Ponte oder Chiesa della Santa Maria in Selva liegt südlich des Ortkerns von Brissago und gilt als eine der bedeutendsten Schöpfungen der lombardischen Architektur in der Schweiz. Charakteristisch sind die achteckige Kuppel mit Säulengang und der freistehende Glockenturm. Die Kirche wurde 1520-1545 von Giovanni Beretta erbaut.
