EN: The school building of Bubendorf is located in the village center slightly above the eastern bank of the Frenke. The three-storey building is extraordinarily large for the local conditions. The façade is divided by a avant-corps. On the flat hipped roof sits a ridge turret with a bell and a weathervane.
The schoolhouse was built in 1850 and renovated in 1970. It is considered an outstanding example of municipal school buildings of the 19th century.
The house is still used as a school today, the ground floor houses the crib and toy museum.
DE: Das Schulhaus von Bubendorf liegt im Dorfkern etwas erhöht über dem östlichen Ufer der Frenke. Das dreigeschossige Gebäude ist für die lokalen Verhältnisse ausserordentlich gross. Die Fassade wird durch einen Risalit gegliedert. Auf dem flachen Walmdach sitzt ein Dachreiter mit Glocke und Windfahne.
Das Schulhaus wurde im Jahre 1850 erbaut und 1970 renoviert. Es gilt als ein herausragendes Beispiel für den Gemeindeschulhausbau des 19. Jahrhunderts.
Das Haus wird heute noch immer als Schulhaus genutzt; im Erdgeschoss ist noch das Krippen- und Spielzeugmuseum untergebracht.
