The Earthquake Trail is a one kilometer paved loop that explores the San Andreas Fault Zone area within Point Reyes National Seashore. Interpretive signs describe the geology of the area.

The Earthquake Trail begins at the southeast corner of the Bear Valley Picnic Area, just across the street from the
Bear Valley Visitors Center.
Along the trail are interpretative exhibits that point out signs of earthquake activity.
One can see the San Andreas fault line marked by blue posts along this trail. At a dramatic point along the trail, there are two sections of fence, disconnected and offset by 16 feet, but still parallel to each other. The row of blue posts marking the fault line can be seen to extend right through this fence line.
