Blacksmith and Wheelwright Shop

Constructed 1891-1893.  The oldest building on Offutt Air Force Base, Building 44, was the original regimental blacksmith, tinsmith, plumber, paint, carpenter, and wheelwright shop.  One of three buildings in this area first constructed to support horsedrawn equipment of the 22nd US Infantry Regiment.  Entered in the National Register of Historic Places 17 December 1976
