Freedom is Fragile - Denver, CO - Relief Art Sculptures on Waymarking.com

This relief is found in Denver's Sakura Square which is the heart of the Japanese American community in Denver. The plaque reads:

Believer in Truth
Honesty and Vigilance
"Freedom is Fragile"

In memory of
John F. Deasy, Jr.

I have been researching John F. Deasy, Jr., and have thus far not found a reference that makes sense for this plaque. Since there is no date on the plaque or art piece, I have no way to develop a time frame of Mr. Deasy's contribution.

The Japanese and Japanese American internment during WWII is a dark stain on North America's (USA and Canada) history - especially when much of WWII dealt with racism and genocide.
