Red Light District

On this block once stood the cribs of Virginia City’s “Sporting Row.” Near this site, in Crib 1, was housed the most celebrated courtesan of the Comstock, Julia C. Bulette, brutally murdered January 20, 1867 for her jewels by John Millian.
