Henry Clay Furnace

West, in Coopers Rock State Forest, is the Henry Clay cold blast furnace, built 1834~36 by Leonard Lamb. It had capacity of four tons pig iron per day, and furnished employment for 200 people. Sold to Ellicots in 1837. Operated until 1847.
