Guìlín is a prefecture-level city in the Guangxi Region of far southern China, sitting on the west bank of the Li River. It is renowned for its unique scenery.
Towering beside the western bank of the Li River, Fubo Hill offers a fantastic view of the town. It is 63 meters high, 60 meters wide, and 213 meters above sea level. Stone stairs wind up towards the hilltop on the western slope of the hill. The Viewing Platform on the stairway is a great spot for taking in the panorama of Guilin.
At Fubo’s foot is the natural “Pearl-Retreating Cave” whose walls have been embellished over the centuries with Buddhist carvings and outstanding examples of Chinese calligraphy. The Southern part of the hill is a garden full of bamboo, palm trees and flowers.
