The Sevenmile Bridge over the Rio Grande River was constructed in 1935 to serve State Highway 149. The highway now passes to the north and this bridge serves a Forest Service campground. The bridge was listed on the
National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and is significant as a little-used bridge type in Colorado with cantilevered ends. The bridge was designed by engineer King Burghardt.
